SANJAY NATIONAL PARK

SANJAY NATIONAL PARK

Sometimes it’s hard to believe that Sanjay Gandhi National Park is only 90 minutes away from such a bustling metropolis. This park encompasses 40 square miles full of rich flora, fauna, birds, butterflies and wild leopards. More than two million visitors go there yearly to enjoy the Kanheri caves that are sculpted out of its rocky cliffs. With so many leopards and tigers in Sanjay Gandhi National Park you’ll be lucky if they don’t feast upon you if you’re within this park after dark. However, if you manage to escape them, you still may not be quite safe yet. This is because there are some restless souls who were unable to live or die peacefully within the city of Mumbai. So, if you are within the boundaries of Sanjay Gandhi National Park at night you may see them for yourself.

One of these apparitions is that of a phantom, female hitchhiker who’s dressed in all white. She is said to ask anyone who drives by her to give her a ride. While you may think that this is caused by the dense forests, wildlife or old caves that are found within this area, the guards who work there at night claim that the Sanjay Gandhi National Park ghost really does exist there. For those who are able to go to Sanjay Gandhi National Park during the day, you will still enjoy the ability to get away with your family. Just make sure that you get out of there before nightfall. Not only do you not want to be found by this phantom ghost but the fact that there isn’t a lot of tourist information available can also make things even more eerie. However, if you’re able to make your way beyond these few inconveniences, this national park is actually quite enjoyable. Ultimately, you just need to use great care when enjoying this place, making sure that you don’t travel too far and that you definitely don’t do so at night. Else, you may have some Sanjay Gandhi National Park ghost Stories to tell.
