Parallel universe

Parallel Universe

A parallel universe is a hypothetical self-contained reality co-existing with one's own. A specific group of parallel universes is called a "multiverse", although this term can also be used to describe the possible parallel universes that constitute reality. The term "parallel universe" implies a relationship, or lack of relationship, with our own universe. A universe where the very laws of nature are different – for example, one in which there are no Laws of Motion – would in general count as a parallel universe but not an alternative reality and a concept between both fantasy world and earth.
Heaven, Hell, Olympus, and Valhalla are all "alternative universes" different from the familiar material realm. This concept was also found in ancient Hindu mythology, in texts such as the Puranas, which expressed an infinite number of universes, each with its own gods.[
Parallel universes may be the backdrop to or the consequence of time travel, their most common use in fiction if the concept is central to the story. A seminal example of both is in Fritz Leiber's novel The Big Time where there's a war across time between two alternative futures manipulating history to create a timeline that results in or realizes their own world.

Multiverse
From science fiction to science fact, there is a proposal out there that suggests that there could be other universes besides our own, where all the choices you made in this life played out in alternate realities. So, instead of turning down that job offer that took you from the United States to China, the alternate universe would show the outcome if you decided to venture to Asia instead.

The multiverse (or meta-universe) is the hypothetical set of possible universes, including the universe in which we live. Together, these universes comprise everything that exists: the entirety of space, time, matter, energy, and the physical laws and constants that describe them.

Counter-Earth

The concept of Counter-Earth is typically similar to that of parallel universes but is actually a distinct idea. A counter-earth is a planet that shares Earth's orbit but is on the opposite side of the Sun and, therefore, cannot be seen from Earth. There would be no necessity that such a planet would be like Earth in any way though typically in fiction; it is usually nearly identical to Earth. Since Counter-Earth is always within the universe (and the Solar System), travel to it can be accomplished with ordinary space travel.

Markawasi Stone Forest

The Markawasi stone forest lies in the Andes Mountains in Lima, Peru. The stones are almost like sculptures, taking eerie shapes like human faces, but no one is sure how they formed. As if that isn’t spooky enough, the real mystery is the possibility of a dimensional door that is said to be located in the forest.
According to Dr. Raul Rios Centeno, an investigator of the unexplained in Lima, a patient came to see him about her extreme case of hemiplegia, a disorder that results in a complete loss of motor function in half of the body. When he inquired about the woman’s condition, she revealed that she had been camping with friends in the Markawasi. According to the patient, they had gone out exploring late in the night and happened upon a torch-lit stone cabin filled with dancing revelers in 17th-century attire. The woman said she felt an otherworldly pull toward the cabin, but she was yanked away by one of her friends before she could fully enter. The incident left the side of her body that had entered the cabin paralyzed.
Her test results revealed no discernible cause for her paralysis. Centeno believes the woman experienced a dimensional shift, producing a change in her nervous system’s energy flow. Many natives as well as scholars believe that a dimensional doorway exists in the stone forest of Markawasi, which the woman and her friends may have unknowingly crossed. Hemiplegia may not be a great consolation prize, but had she not been pulled away, the woman may have been lost forever.

DEJA VU
The term déjà vu is French and means, literally, "already seen." Those who have experienced the feeling describe it as an overwhelming sense of familiarity with something that shouldn't be familiar at all. Say, for example, you are traveling to England for the first time. You are touring a cathedral, and suddenly it seems as if you have been in that very spot before. Or maybe you are having dinner with a group of friends, discussing some current political topic, and you have the feeling that you've already experienced this very thing -- same friends, same dinner, same topic.

The dead man

Cold and calm rested the fragile body
Deep went the coffin grounded and all muddy
Out came the soul resting in peace
Chivalry and valor gave him a never ending miss.

Condolences spread in and cries came out loud
Missing the dead body in the entire dismayed crowd
Memories and unfulfilled dreams was all that he left
Prayers and praises were taken from this shocking and deadly theft.

Loud came a voice from an unusual intrigued figure
Rushing came the blessings as he left his skillful trigger
Good luck and prosperity spread as he showered
His thoughtful words to the dead body that he hugely powered.

The Devil's Vows

As the moon faded and the stars shined bright
The roads appeared dim in the scanty moonlight.
Walking down the road never became so unclear
Shadows came buzzing on the front side and rear.
I stopped my way on the entrance of the creepy silence
Adrenaline rushed in to rush out my raged violence.
Out came a crooked figure deep behind the woods
Shaping up himself and showing off the devil's goods.
I heard his spell come clear and loud
Destroy thy love and nemesis he vowed.

Tunnel no 103

Tunnel no 103

Shimla has a lot of ghost stories associated with it. There's one about tunnel number 103 on the Shimla-Kalka railway line that has the ghost of a British sahib.
The ghost in tunnel 103 is said to be one that talks back in full context with the humans he comes in contact with.
The tunnel itself is wet, damp, dingy and about 140 yards long and is quite a scary place.
It is also unique in that the spirit of the Englishman responds to humans.
There are different kinds of spirits. Most of them don't acknowledge your presence. They just appear on a particular day at a particular time and play out their part as if on a video tape  for instance if a woman who walks in from one direction and ends up jumping in the well will do so even if you try to stop it.
If you come in her way, she will walk right through you. If there is a house built in her path, she will pass through the walls. There is nothing you can do to stop her or even if you try to talk to her, she won't respond.

But besides the tunnel itself Shimla has a lot of villages around it and the only way is to get there is by walking. There are a lot of stories about witches in the area and walking down those was quite terrifying. These trails are very, very scary. As you walk, things move around you and you can hear them. It can be frightening to walk down these trails in the nights.

Sylphs( The air holds mysteries)

Spirit of the air is what they call it. In the ancient western tradition it is believed that there exists some kind of energy in the air called Sylphs. They are invisible beings of the air. Sylphs have been a major topic in the field of fairytales and fiction movies. One of the most popular movie that has used the concept is Harry Potter. These air spirits are portrayed as guardians who protect secret knowledge and beautiful women and are said to be mischievous with men.

What’s so special about Sylphs?

Sylphs are known to be invisible and they also have a type of intelligence that men lack. They have believed to have a deep sense of understanding between nature and its connections. It is also said that the future holds some mysteries about them.

                       Weakness

Sylphs have the power to freely move in the air but like humans they can be harmed by physical entities such as fire, water etc. Mythology says that sylphs can fall sick and even die and when they die they simply stop existing. The mysteries further reveal that these spirits can have immortal souls if they marry humans.

Although they exist only in folk tales, the idea of Sylphs is really pretty interesting.

Creepy dream

My creepy dream

Soft voices hustled, whistling through the leaves

Enchanting the melody of horror and wierd creepy things.
Doors bang Windows open and glasses fall
Then comes a bright light of despair from the doorway of the hall.
'Who is there?' came out my struggling feared voice
Then came a shooting, almost nullified attic noise.
Fear gushed in and absolute bravery rushed out
Up front came a shadow, fat, round and stout.
Closer came my eyes, almost unable to bring them apart
Realising lately I rolled my eyes from my dreamy cart.

Jatinga

Jatinga Assam

Jatinga is a mystic, beautiful, lush green village located on a ridge in the North Cachar Hills of Dima Hasao District in Assam at the foothills of the Borail range. It is located in the vicinity of Haflong town which is the District Head Quarter of North Cachar Hills. It is a popular tourist spot which is easily accessible by train, buses, taxis and auto-rickshaws. Decorated with blue Vanda Orchids during the flowering season, it is home to 2500 Dima Hasao population. Jatinga is located about 330 km South of Guwahati – the commercial capital of Assam. The natives earned their livelihood mostly from forest products, specially cultivation of bamboo and export. Hunting was a part of their life and the juveniles were trained to adopt various hunting techniques.

The mornings in Jatinga is illuminated by the spectacular sunlight peaking through the Hempeopet Peak. The Hempeopet Peak is the second highest peak in the mountainous terrain which gives tourists a marvelous view. Jatinga is famous for its orange orchards, beautiful orchid gardens, and its traditional tribal dances, and for the mysterious suicidal tendencies in birds. In fact, Jatinga is also called Death Valley for Birds due to the strange phenomenon of avian mass suicides. There is a bird watchtower in Jatinga from which one can witness the mysterious phenomenon, however prior permissions from district forestry office in Haflong is necessary.

In late 1950's British tea planter and ornithologist E.P.Gee and Salim Ali visited this place to find out the cause of mysterious death of migratory birds. The first record of this mysterious phenomenon is found in the book Wild Life of India (1957) by E.P. Gee. Gee, a naturalist, wrote that the suicides of birds only at the specific spot is extraordinary. The phenomenon did not occur at the nearby places even if they were illuminated just like Jatinga. He also recorded the conditions required for this phenomenon - fog, cloud and mist. The incident happens in the late monsoon months between September and November in the late evenings mostly between 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. It mostly happens in dark moonless nights with light rains when the South Westerly winds are blowing. Gee brought this mysterious phenomenon to the Global attention.

Jatinga became a popular tourist destination by the 1980's. The mystery of Jatinga attracts ornithologist from all over the world but the phenomenon still needs to be investigated and understood. The most likely cause of mass avian suicides could be disorientation of the birds at high altitudes and high speed winds due to the widespread fog, which is common at the end of the monsoons. Dr. Sudhir Sengupta sent by the Zoological Survey of India to investigate and unscramble the mystery strongly believes that the magnetic properties of subterranean water is altered by the atmospheric conditions of this terrain. These changes though invisible, affect the physiological rhythm of the local birds and they start behaving abnormally towards the sources of light which leads to the mysterious happening.

The Hindu on October 28, 2010 says, on a moonless night, when the mist and fog bearing South-Westerly winds blow over the Jatinga valley, different species of local migratory birds get attracted to strong light sources or “bird trap lights.” The phenomenon remains an unsolved mystery, with many theories doing the rounds.

Ghost Hunters

Ghost Hunters

Ghost hunting is a very tricky business. Ghost hunters need to know to location where to look for ghosts and ways to capture them. Firstly ghost hunters need to have a strong tolerance for fear. Ghost hunting sounds fun doesn’t it??Well it’s not.. Keep reading…

Ghost hunters first need to locate the ghost. Usually the common places where ghosts are located are abandoned houses, cemeteries, old battle fields and even mental asylums. Apart from all of this ghost hunters are called by people who are being harassed by ghosts. Sometimes when a person dies especially when their death was violent their spirit remains behind and so they began haunting the area. The ghost hunters also conduct interviews and research regarding the haunted place.

Ghost hunters use a digital manual camera to capture the presence of ghosts. The ghosts usually appear as a blurry object or a streak of light.  But ghost hunters use camcorder because it captures more details, also tape recorders for capturing sound that normally cannot be heard and some other special equipment like EMF detector to pick up disturbances across a wide range of frequencies.
Ghost hunting has been heavily criticized for its total absence of scientific method
Many ghost hunters say they find evidence of ghosts and that cannot be explained scientifically or by natural means.

SANJAY NATIONAL PARK

SANJAY NATIONAL PARK

Sometimes it’s hard to believe that Sanjay Gandhi National Park is only 90 minutes away from such a bustling metropolis. This park encompasses 40 square miles full of rich flora, fauna, birds, butterflies and wild leopards. More than two million visitors go there yearly to enjoy the Kanheri caves that are sculpted out of its rocky cliffs. With so many leopards and tigers in Sanjay Gandhi National Park you’ll be lucky if they don’t feast upon you if you’re within this park after dark. However, if you manage to escape them, you still may not be quite safe yet. This is because there are some restless souls who were unable to live or die peacefully within the city of Mumbai. So, if you are within the boundaries of Sanjay Gandhi National Park at night you may see them for yourself.

One of these apparitions is that of a phantom, female hitchhiker who’s dressed in all white. She is said to ask anyone who drives by her to give her a ride. While you may think that this is caused by the dense forests, wildlife or old caves that are found within this area, the guards who work there at night claim that the Sanjay Gandhi National Park ghost really does exist there. For those who are able to go to Sanjay Gandhi National Park during the day, you will still enjoy the ability to get away with your family. Just make sure that you get out of there before nightfall. Not only do you not want to be found by this phantom ghost but the fact that there isn’t a lot of tourist information available can also make things even more eerie. Kuldhara

Kuldhara - The Ghost Village in Rajasthan

The charisma of the ghost villages is very different from that of the ruined fortresses. The ghost villages give us a chance to look closely into the lives of the people who once resided there. Rajasthan has no scarcity of such villages. Two of the most famous ghost villages is Bhangarh and Kuldhara, probably because of the folklore associated with them. Almost 18 kilometers from the beautiful city of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, Kuldhara Village is most conspicuous for being deserted by all the villagers in just a single night.

Kuldhara is a lonesome place with a deserted look that brings grieve to one’s mind when one thinks about the doomed fate of hundreds of villagers who were compelled to leave their ancestral land. It is not only the stories that make Kuldhara spooky but also the place itself. Series upon series of mud houses with ruined walls and no roofs, standing tall like the skeletons of an unfortunate past. From the date it has been deserted, the village remains barren, lying same like the villagers had left it centuries ago! It is believed that people who try to stay in the area during the night-time, experience strange paranormal activities.

The story of this village dates back to the 1800s, when it was a prosperous village of the Paliwal Brahmins. According to the popular folklore, the villagers were supposed to pay the taxes levied on them to the minister of the state, Salim Singh. While visiting Kuldhara, Salim Singh’s eyes fell upon the chief’s beautiful daughter and he expressed his desire to marry her. He threatened the Kuldhara villagers that if they refused to give him the girl, he would levy exaggerated taxes on them. Instead of marrying his daughter to the minister, the chief of the village along with those of 84 adjoining villages decided to leave behind Kuldhara and migrate to some other place. No one saw the villagers leave nor did anyone know where they all went. But how could so many villagers vanish in a single night? This still remains a mystery!

Another probable reason can be the huge amount of taxes levied on the villagers by Salim Singh. The taxes became heavy-handed to the extent that the villagers decided to migrate to some other place.

A friendly ghost

A friendly Ghost
I accounted a friendly Ghost
On my trekking trip to Mount Fujimost
My friend and I started early for the jaunt
Bicycling till the foot of the mount
Glancing at the top and rough terrain
Did not dither us, but it soon started to rain
As we paced slowly for the climb
Before us the shrubs and rubble tremble
Showing us the path to trek
We trekked up the hill to the other side
No hurdles and our trekking done
Thanks to the unseen guide
The ghostly figure was a friendly one
Because some ghosts are not scary but fun!!
